Post that hangs around the Tavern for more than 6 months is up for grabs, Merri says anyway. This is one such letter.
Theodora,
Please, come with urgency to my tower of study in East Windshade. The remainder of this letter is for you to read on your journey so you may have some context for your arrival.

I’ve done it, after all these years of studying this capture mirror, I’ve finally summoned a being from beyond the magical veil and locked it within.
Now, you may remember from my previous research that a capture mirror will only work while the summoner maintains extended eye contact with its subject. As such, I’ve been gazing into this mirror for two days and will continue until you or another of my students can come to assist. The being trapped within seems to be some sort of daemon or perhaps an elemental spirit. Their skin is that of cracked ash stone and their eyes a dark purple. They seem…annoyed. They will not speak and have only moved to occasionally scratch their nose, which I do in sync in the hopes scratching ones nose is some sort of spirit language, my results on that are so far inconclusive.
All those stuffed robes in Ivywood called me a fool to focus my studies on this capture mirror, saying that a mirror found in the depths of a decaying shrine is proof of nothing, but I knew and so did you. Please make haste, I fear if none should arrive I will perish of exhaustion, if Mathew doesn’t kill me first.
Yours,
Matteus Longfellow
